Cutting Board 2.1 - Red Oak

Merry Christmas
Christmas cutting boards for everyone!

Edge grain construction, round-over routing on the border
This cutting board is roughly 18" x 13" x 1.5". The primary material is red oak, which is a porous hard wood that is common in North America. It's ringed in walnut for color contrast.

The edge grain construction will make it a highly durable cutting surface.

The finish of butchers block oil is food safe and serves to darken the wood and bring out some of the red in the depth of the red oak. It's easy to refresh by just wiping another coat of oil in every once in a while. And the board itself can be refreshed by sanding it if it ever gets too cut up for your liking.
